We started our last day in Reykjavik with breakfast and packing our lunches at the hostel. After loading the bus 🚌 with our luggage 🧳 we did some fun warm-up activities including a human knot! We then set off on an hour-long bus ride to the Glymur waterfall.
We began our hike on a flat terrain where we saw lots of sheep and Alaskan Lupine.

We survived our first difficult river crossing and began the ascent, and shortly after hiking a bit more the waterfall began coming into view. It was hard at times but the views kept us going.

When we reached the top we found a nice place to sit that was sheltered from the wind (of which there was a lot). After finishing lunch, we began our trek across the frigid river.

The descent to the bus was a walk in the park after our long journey up and back down the mountain. After our three-ish hour hike, we loaded the bus again and headed to our guest house🏠. We made a pit stop at a local grocery store to stock up on snacks 🍿. We continued our journey to our beautiful guest house where we unpacked and had time to chill or work on our projects before dinner. Our lovely host made pasta 🍝 and salad 🥗 which was devoured after our long hike.
We then walked down to the beach covered in beautiful rocks and pebbles. We had our nightly meeting on the beach where we went over the plan for the next day, and played with the rocks and pebbles 🪨. Then we were free to come write this blog before setting off to bed.
