Við erum hér (we are here!)

After some long travel days, everyone made it safely to Reykjavik.  We enjoyed a soak at the Blue Lagoon, which all of us agreed was a great way to start the program. 

After the Lagoon, we arrived at our hostel to some wonderful sunny weather. We are getting to know each other quickly and everyone is a bit tired but very content. We headed to downtown Reykjavik for a delicious first dinner at the very first pasta restaurant ever in Iceland.

We met the original owner and the entire family and they gifted us the family story in a book only in Icelandic so we will have to translate it later. The kids are really worn out and were ready for bed early!  We will send more details tomorrow as we explore the city. Stay tuned here as we begin our five-day tech fast.
